My opinion is that even though the video was spread into internet doing suicide for it is just too radical.
I bet no one else than him knew about his homosexuality ofc his sex partners so maybe becouse hiding it so much and suddenly everyone gets to know it must been like your road just ends here. The suicide would propaply been avoided if he just had conversation with his family and gain some support. I think his roommate got the right punishment the 25000 fine. His roommate didnt kill anyone even though taping the act and spreading the video to internet.
I agree completely with you about avoiding this by seeking support of family.
